For more than 58 years, we have been providing you with the highest quality, most delicious, and freshest mouthwatering chocolates that many of you have described as “the best they have ever tasted anywhere” including Switzerland. This is a tribute to our untiring pursuit of culinary excellence, our loyal and dedicated staff, and the vision and conviction of Evelyn and Carmen Bruno, our founders.

It all began more than 65 years ago in the 1940’s. Living in New England, Bruno Chocolate Store Interiorthe Brunos befriended a neighbor, Selma Stein, a retired Swiss candy maker who planted the seed in their minds for a needed career change. They spent the next two years learning the art and science of fine Swiss chocolate confectionery from the master chocolatiers at “The Montreal National Institute of Confectionery”. The recipes that we use today are these same time-tested and guarded Swiss recipes. At first operating their chocolate business in New England, in 1952 they moved to Ft. Pierce Florida, the city where they had vacationed many winters and where they had relatives in the citrus industry.

Today, owners Valerie and Doug Anderson, their family, and dedicated staff carry on with the traditions that the Brunos began. Not only have the Andersons upheld these time-honored traditions for more 30 years, they have, as Emeril Lagassee would say, “Taken it up another notch” with the addition of delicious award-winning truffles, unparalleled sugar-free chocolates, an array of fresh cream & butter fudges, and most recently a mouthwatering crunchy “cashew brittle” that many are now describing as “to die for”……..

And our story would not be complete without expressing our gratitude for a wonderful support team staff (our partners) and welcome guests (our customers). We do not feel we have employees (we call them partners because they are partners in the growth and success of our enterprise) and we do not feel we have customers (because we do not just offer chocolates but provide a truly nostalgic experience that brings back childhood memories)…..You are our guests sharing this unique adventure.
